## How to get to the setup screen

There are two ways:

* **Suggestions tab** → click **Turn On** (first time) or **Edit Search** (if already running)
* **Add Accounts** → click **Find Accounts**

Both take you to the same Find Accounts table.

## Configure your search

<Steps>
  <Step title="Review your current search (if one exists)">
    If suggestions is already running, the table will show what it's currently searching for. Use this to debug results that feel too broad or too narrow before making changes.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your signal filters">
    Select which signals you want matched accounts to have. Each signal can be set to one of two modes — click once for **Any Of**, click twice for **Must Have**.

    **Use Any Of.** Must Have means the account has to match that signal to appear in results. If you stack multiple Must Haves, you're requiring an account to hit all of them simultaneously — which is extremely rare. Stick to Any Of unless you have one specific signal that's a hard requirement.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your geography">
    Select US states or countries. You can combine both.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your industries">
    These map directly to LinkedIn's industry categories. If you're unsure what category a good-fit company falls under, look them up on LinkedIn and use whatever industry is listed on their profile. Add as many relevant industries as apply.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your employee count range">
    Employee count is pulled from LinkedIn. Set the range that matches your ICP sweet spot.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the search summary">
    Before running, WhiteWhale shows you:

    * **Potential accounts** — total companies matching your filters, with or without signals
    * **Already checked** — accounts scanned in previous searches
    * **To be scanned** — accounts that will be searched when you run this

    If the numbers look right, proceed. If too narrow, loosen your filters or reduce Must Have signals.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Find Recommendations">
    WhiteWhale starts scanning. Results begin appearing in your Suggestions tab within 1–2 hours and continue to grow daily as more accounts are checked.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Suggestions compounds over time. A search that returns 700 results one week may return 1,200 the next as WhiteWhale works through the remaining accounts in your criteria. Let it run.
</Tip>

## What happens next

Once your search is running, matched accounts appear in the **Suggestions** tab. From there you can review, accept, or assign them to your team.
